Privacy Policy

Short version: your PDF files never leave your device. We cannot see them, store them, or transmit them, because every tool runs entirely in your browser. The longer version below is specific about what that means.

Your documents

When you use a tool on this site, the file you select is read directly by your browser and processed on your own device. It is never uploaded to a server. We do not receive it, store it, log it, or transmit it anywhere. When you close or reload the page, the file is gone from memory. You can confirm all of this yourself by watching your browser's Network tab while a tool runs — there is no upload request, because there is nothing to upload to.

What we don't collect

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email, or any personal detail in order to use a tool. We do not have a database of your files or your activity, because the processing never reaches us.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are used and to find pages that are broken or slow. Where analytics are enabled, they record anonymous, aggregated usage — such as which page was visited — and never the contents of your files, which are technically inaccessible to any analytics script. If and when analytics are active, this section will name the provider so you know exactly who is involved.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage for one thing only: remembering whether you prefer light or dark mode, so the site looks the way you left it. This never leaves your browser and is not a tracking cookie. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own.

Third-party libraries

The tools load open-source PDF libraries from a content delivery network (CDN) the first time you use them. This means the CDN provider can see that your browser requested a file, along with standard technical information such as your IP address — the same information any website request carries. The CDN does not receive your PDF; it only serves the code that runs the tool. We use reputable, widely trusted CDNs for this.

Advertising

If advertising is shown on this site in future, this section will be updated to name the ad provider and explain what data that involves, before any ads appear. Any advertising would be clearly distinguishable from the tools themselves.

Children

This site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — because we do not collect document contents at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Because the core design of the site — processing everything on your device — is unlikely to change, the substance of this policy should remain stable.

Contact

If you have a question about privacy, the contact page has our details. Given how the site works, the honest answer to "what do you have on me?" is: nothing.
